Annual Exhibition 2011

Exhibition helps launch Spa Centre’s second refurbishment

For the second year running Leamington Spa Photographic Society’s Annual Exhibition is the first to enjoy the benefits of the Royal Spa Centre’s refurbishments.

Located in the Balcony Bar, the exhibition was officially opened by Royal Leamington Spa’s Town Mayor, Councillor Alan Wilkinson, on Monday, September 19 at 7.45pm. Running until Saturday, October 15, admission is free to the exhibition, which may be viewed on performance afternoons and evenings.

In opening the exhibition, Cllr Alan Wilkinson, said: “I’m absolutely bowled over by the quality of work on display here and the wide range of subjects represented.”

During a crowded, tense evening at the end of last season, judge Terry Bickley ARPS DPAGB, faced a tough challenge and it is the work from the winners  he selected that is on display.

Exhibition Secretary, Andrew West, commented: “Whilst there is not sufficient space at the Royal Spa Centre to display all our members’ work, the hanging system and lighting in new exhibition area allows us to show work in a professional manner, for which we are very grateful.”
