Leamington and District Photographic Society
1921-1947

From 1920 onwards little is known of the Leamington Photographic Society, other than they met in a basement at the top of the Parade, gaining some support from well known national photographers such as Walden Hammond FRPS FRSA who in 1938 held a Portrait Exhibition at the Victoria Colonnade. The Club met initially in a basement at the top of the Parade, but in 1947 they left this meeting place to become part of Lockheed Sports and Social Club, and the company, the biggest employer in the district provided a clubroom and a smaller room to house a darkroom.
