Tuesday 26 September 2017 - TRAVELLING THE WORLD Matthew Williams-Ellis is a freelance travel, documentary and landscape photographer. He is based in London but spends as much time as possible exploring the world, both on assignment or photographing personal projects. Matthew is passionate about the variety of photographic opportunities that travelling brings, whether it be heading to the top of a volcano for sunrise, or capturing the everyday lives of local people in a market.

Tuesday 17 October 2017 - ANIMALS ON THE EDGE Chris Weston is among the finest wildlife photographers at work today, and passionate advocates of wildlife conservation. This illustrated talk is about our worlds rare and endangered mammals, with stunning photographs of 60 mammals on the latest IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.

Tuesday 31 October 2017 - SPORTING IMAGES Harish Chavda is one of the leading sports photographers in the West Midlands. His lecture will be an A-to-Z of sports images which includes athletics to weightlifting, rugby sevens and more. There are plenty of tips and techniques given in this talk.

Tuesday 21 November 2017 - INSPIRE-CAPTURE-PRINT Neil Cave will talk to us about ĎTimeline Eventsí where Heritage and Photography come together as they recreate scenes from a past era in an environment that may otherwise not be possible.They also work closely with many of the UKís finest re-enactors and re-enactment groups to ensure the human interest is apparent in many of the recreations they set.

Tuesday 28 November 2017 - LUMEJET This is an opportunity for us to attend a dedicated open evening arranged for our Society at L.Type Print. They will be delivering a short presentation covering the key elements of their company, provide us with a tour of the factory and also provide each attendee with some L.Type sample prints of their own work on the night.

Tuesday 23 January 2018 - CONFESSIONS OF A LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHER Paul Mitchell will give an illustrated talk about how he does the planning for his photography, and the type of landscape images he would make at different locations (coast, woodland etc.), and under varying weather conditions. The talk also covers the type of software apps and equipment he uses.

Tuesday 13 February 2018 - PHOTO JOURNALISM AND ALL THAT Peter Martin is one of Canadaís most respected photojournalists having covered over 10,000 assignments over a 40-year career. Over the last 25 years Martin has travelled extensively on assignment throughout Europe, the Orient and the South Pacific. He resigned from the Montreal Gazette where he was a staff photographer for 16 years. In 2014 he opened a studio and gallery in Stow-on-the-Wold.

Tuesday 17 April 2018 - TRAVELS IN YELLOWSTONE One of our most respected judges, Peter Clarke, FRPS, EFIAP/p, APSA, MPSA will show us some of his images taken in Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful. Itís also home to hundreds of animal species, including bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope.
